Call or send a message
Pick whichever is easier. A phone call usually lets us ask a few follow-up questions on the spot, and those questions often settle whether it is mice, rats or something else entirely.
If you write in, include a phone number. Rodent problems are much easier to sort out in a two-minute conversation than over a string of emails.

What helps us when you get in touch
A few details make the first visit far more useful. You do not need all of them, but the more you can share, the better our guess about what is going on before we arrive. Calls to Grand Rapids Rodent Control tend to go smoothly when people mention:
- Your neighborhood or cross streets, so we can confirm you are inside the city.
- What you have seen or heard: droppings, chewing, scratching, a live animal, a smell.
- Where in the house it is happening, and on which floor.
- How long it has been going on, and whether it started with the cold weather.
- Anything already tried, such as traps, bait or patching.
- Whether the building is a house, a rental or a business.
If you have spotted droppings, a quick photo next to a coin is a big help in telling a mouse from a rat. Please leave them in place until we have had a look.
Before the visit
Keep food sealed, keep the garage closed, and clear a path to the basement walls and the attic hatch if you can. The how it works page explains what happens next.
We serve addresses inside the City of Grand Rapids only. If you are just past the city line, we will let you know on the call so you can find someone closer.
